HISTORY

The Kauai Raceway Park is the Western-Most NHRA track in the USA. We are a member of the “Magnificent Seven” and was awarded the Most Improved track back in 2014.

Kauai Raceway Park is operated and managed by GIRA (Garden Isle Racing Association) who is a not-for-profit corporation which promotes safe motorsports and responsible street driving. All drag racing events take place at the Kauai Raceway Park, a National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) sanctioned track. GIRA hosts hundreds of spectators and competitors, with racers as young as 8 years old each year!

Running safe, well organized races is expensive. Just a few of the expenses GIRA is responsible for include: cash prizes, ambulance, track preparation, lights, toilets, insurance, advertising, trash removal, sanctioning fees, trophies, track rental from DLNR, and security.

GIRA and the Motorsports community of Kauai needs your support to make our season a success.
